Lesel Turner, 85, Cumberland County, KY Lesel H. Turner, age 85 of Marrowbone, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. Lesel was born on May 27, 1940 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Jessie Olden and Lena Vibbert Turner. Lesel was a retired farmer, logger and a US Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Dwaine Turner and Sue Muse and a great grandchild, Elizabeth Finley. Lesel was very active in the community, he was a member of Burkesville Baptist Church, Marrowbone Community Park Board, Marrowbone Sportsman's Club, Marrowbone Heritage Council, Cumberland Lodge #413, Master Logger a member of the Marrowbone Fire Department for more than 50 years and he loved to work in his garden. Survivors include: His wife - Joann Johnson Turner of Burkesville One son - Tony Turner (Tina) of Burkesville Three daughters - Carla Willis (Stevie), Lesley Phelps (John) and Lindsey Crawford (Brian) all of Burkesville Fifteen grandchildren - Alex Phelps (Elizabeth), Kailey Phelps-Gaither (Colten), Tabatha Shelton (Tyler), Kassidy Phelps, Tyler Willis (Jessie), Victoria Humphrey (Joseph), Erica Claborn (Randy), Jerrod Turner, Tiffany Everley (Craig), Ashley Anderson (Matt), John Finley (Kayla), Justin Turner (Kylee), Gabrielle Crawford (Konner), Xander Crawford and Chase Crawford Eleven great-grandchildren - Damien, Kadin, Piper, Saylor, Sawyer, John Alex, Mattie, Macie, Colt, Rylan and Addina And a host of other relatives and friends Funeral Service: Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 2pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main St, Burkesville with burial in Marrowbone Cemetery.
