LETTER: Remembering Ethel Farris Scott. She belonged. Ben Breeding recalls a delightful moment in a great teacher's life Story has link to related photo, another story To the Editor: Mrs. Ethel Farris Scott was my chemistry teacher at Adair County High. One of my favorite stories about Mrs. Scott was her introduction to college physics at, I believe, Western Kentucky. It seems that Mrs. Scott was the only lady in her physics class. The physics professor began each class session by asking,"Miss Farris, are you in the right class?" This continued until the first test, when Mrs. Scott attained the highest score in the class. As the professor reported the test results, he replied, "Miss Farris, you are indeed in the right class."
