Margaret Lawless, 96, Russell County, KY Margaret Grider Lawless, of Russell Springs, passed from this life Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Fair Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility, having attained the age of 96 years, 7 months and 28 days. Ms. Margaret was born Sunday, September 2, 1928, in Cincinnati, daughter of the late James Horace and Elsie Anderson Grider. She was a member of Royville Friendship Church, who enjoyed visiting with people and would cook and take food to those who were sick. Ms. Margaret loved to garden and tend her flowers. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She is survived by her children, Jeff (and Sharon) Lawless, of Shelbyville, and Jeannie (and Jimmy) McQueary, of Russell Springs; her sister, Laverne Ison, of Russell Springs; her grandchildren, Kevin Bennett, of Russell Springs, Jennifer Barton, of Russell Springs, Jamie McQueary, of Columbia, Jeremy McQueary, of Columbia, Ryan McQueary, of Columbia, Ryan Flatt, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Terry Mason, of Shepherdsville; a special niece, Sara Poynter, of Russell Springs; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and her special care-givers, Linda Burton, Diane Haney and Carolyn Williams. Along with her parents, Ms. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Oline Wade "Jim" Lawless, who passed away January 27, 1987; her brothers, Ralph Grider and Clifton Grider; her twin sister, Mildred Anderson; sisters, Elwanda Grider, Almarene Redmon and Juanita Anderson; and her granddaughter, Tara Bennett. Funeral services are 2pmCT Friday, May 2, 2025, at Royville Friendship Church, with Bro. Phillip Miller and Bro. Carter Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.
