Evlyn Komosa, 102, Columbia, KY (1922-2025) Evlyn (Beard) Komosa of Columbia died on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at her residence. She was 102 years old. A graveside service will be held at 10amCT on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Cane Valley Cemetery, with burial to follow. Visitation is requested from 4:30pmCT until 6pmCT on Friday, with a Prayer Service following, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. There will be no visitation on Saturday. She was born August 5, 1922, in Adair County, to the late George Denney "Jack" and Edith Frances Jones Beard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Komosa on December 3, 1998 and her brother, Dennis Hamilton Beard. Ms. Komosa was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and a former Secretary at Indiana University. She is survived by her care-givers, Janet Antle, Sheila Lynch, Heather Bow, Julie Neal and Mardi Janes In lieu of flowers, Ms. Komosa requested that donations go the Lindsey Wilson College in her memory. These can be left at the funeral home or mailed to 210 Lindsey Wilson Street, Columbia, Kentucky 42728 Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
