Shaunna Turner, LWC student from Columbia, KY honored for scholarship Lindsey Wilson student named to Mid-South Conference All-Adademic Cheerleading Team By Emily Frymire Lindsey Wilson College Staff writerfrymane@lindsey.edu COLUMBIA, KY - An Adair County resident was recently honored by the Mid-South Conference for her efforts as a cheerleader at Lindsey Wilson College. Shaunna Turner was named to the Mid-South Conference All-Academic Cheerleading Team. Turner received the award following the 2006 MSC cheerleading competition, held March 1at Eastern Kentucky Exposition Center in Pikeville, Ky. Turner was one of six Lindsey Wilson cheerleaders named to the All-Academic Team. Cheerleaders named to the MSC All-Academic Team must have a sophomore standing or higher and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. Turner is a graduate of Adair County High School. She is a one-year member of the Lindsey Wilson cheerleading squad. At Lindsey Wilson, Turner is an education sophomore.
