Ethel DeLane Burton, 79, Columbia, KY (1945-2025) Ethel DeLane (Hadley) Burton of Columbia passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Summit Manor Nursing Home. She was 79 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11amCT on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Steve Pescosolido officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue Thursday until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. She was born on December 29, 1945, in Columbia, KY, to the late Edd Logan and Bessie Dell Helm Hadley. Mrs. Burton was a member of the Trinity Church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Rabon "Toon" Burton of Columbia, KY; two daughters Tonya Loy (Mike) and Annette Hatcher (Chris) both of Columbia, KY; three grandchildren Will Loy of Columbia, KY, Riley Loy of Lincoln, NE, and Carah Dell Hatcher (Dusty Claiborne) of Columbia, KY; a great grandson Archie James Claiborne; four sisters Sandy Firkins (Joe Kerns) of Oakland City, IN, Becky Hadley of Oakland City, IN, June Doss of New Palestine, IN, Joyce Schoonover (Alan) of Lynnville, IN and several nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers Lonnie, Bryan, Ralph and Bob Hadley and two sisters Betty Clary and Juanita Hadley. Pallbearers will be Kevin Doss, Daniel Firkins, Will Loy, Roger Hadley, Chris Hatcher, and Denny Hadley. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
