Roberna Marie (Wootsie) Potts, 81, Adair Co., KY (1943-2025)

Roberna Marie "Wootsie" Potts (Rogers) of Louisville and Adair County, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, at the hospital. She was 81 years old.

Funeral services will be held in mid-April 2025, and will be announced later by Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Her burial will be at Union Cemetery, 174 Milltown Church RD, Gradyville, KY.


She was surrounded by love and care in her final moments. Born on December 6, 1943, Roberna was the daughter of the late Homer Bragg and Terra "Wilma" Bragg. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, York Potts, and her sister, Vonda Rowe.

Roberna is survived by her brothers Mitchell Bragg and Darry Bragg. Roberna retired from JC Penny and went on to work for Anthem BCBS, and then the U.S. Census Bureau. Roberna, affectionately known as Wootsie, was a guiding light to her family, dedicating her life to nurturing and raising her many nieces and nephews. She was a source of wisdom, strength, and unconditional love, shaping the lives of those she cared for with kindness and grace. Her home was always a place of warmth, laughter, and togetherness.

She will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews, brothers, stepdaughter, as well as countless extended family members and friends who were touched by her generosity and spirit. Her love lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
