J. B. Berry, 47, Green County, KY James Elbert "JB" Berry of Summersville, Kentucky, son of James "Jimmy" Berry of Summersville and the late Rita Edmonds Berry, was born on Tuesday, August 30, 1977 in Elizabethtown and departed this life on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at his home. He was 47 years, 5 months, and 3 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. He worked as a machine operator and, in his free time, enjoyed fishing, dirt track racing, and grilling. He is survived by his wife: Tabatha Kirby Berry of Greensburg, having united in marriage on October 25, 2009. Other survivors include two daughters: Everleigh Clare Berry of Greensburg, Kristyn Meadows of Harrodsburg; one son: Larkin Meadows of Greensburg; four sisters and brothers-in-law: Maranda and John Milby, Tina and Jamie Durrett, April and Gage Wimsatt all of Greensburg, Matilda and Ali Burton of Columbia; five brothers and sisters-in-law: David Berry of Indiana, Bobby and Alie Berry of Summersville, Matt and Lacie Berry of North Carolina, Troy and Samantha Berry of Columbia, P.J. and Brooklyn Berry of Summersville; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Kris and Miranda Kirby, Kendra Kirby all of Stanton; father-in-law: Tom Kirby of Stanton; mother-in-law and step father-in-law: Shari and Ronnie Thomas of Greensburg; a special friend: Mike Reed of Stanton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Besides his mother, he was also preceded in death by a brother: Gregory Allen Berry on November 2, 1986. The funeral services for James Elbert "JB" Berry will be conducted at 10amCT Friday, February 7, 2025 at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Bennett Cemetery. Bro. Justin Dial, Bro. Casey Durrett, and Bro. Jerry Lynn Scott officiating. Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 Thursday and after 8 Friday at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church until time of the service. All visitation on Friday will be at the church.
