Participants welcome in Columbia Christmas events Christmas holiday season events are in the works at City Hall in Columbia. The 5th annual drive-through Christmas in the Park will be starting the Saturday after Thanksgiving in the Little League Park on Joe Johnson Road. Additionally, a Live Nativity Scene is in the setup phase now at the Citizens Park on Burkesville Street. The Columbia Police Department will be having "Operation Christmas Spirit" this season. Boxes will located around town for donations of socks. This year the police drive will include assisting children as always, but will also include assisting the elderly.
