Elmer L. (Junior) Draper, 81, Columbia, KY native (1943-2024) Elmer Lee Draper, Jr., of Louisville passed away on August 12, 2024. He was 81 years old. He was born January 2, 1943 in Columbia, Adair County Kentucky, the oldest child of Elmer Lee Draper Sr. and Ocra Johnson Draper who predecease him. Elmer requested there be no funeral service but to be reunited with Barbara in their cremation niche at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville where they will rest together. Elmer was a retired master welder from the old L&N Railroad in Louisville. It was known that he could weld anything other than the crack of dawn or a broken heart. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Barbara and siblings Nancy Shirley Aiken and Roy Allen Draper. Elmer is survived by his three sons Steve (Jane) Draper of Lexington, KY, Jeff (Robin Fisher) Draper of Louisville, Ky and Mike (Tina) Draper of Louisville, KY, and his stepchildren Larry Morton, Leanne Greschel, and Danny Morton. Elmer also leaves behind five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Additionally, Junior is survived by siblings Richard Draper of Campbellsville, KY, Laverne Reliford of Columbia, KY and Phillip (Sue) Draper of Lagrange, KY.
