Radford Wayne Cope, 85, Burkesville, KY (1939-2024) Radford Wayne "Rat" Cope of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, having attained the age of 85 years, 4 months, and 5 days. He was born on Wednesday, April 5, 1939 in Edmonton, Kentucky, the son of Berlie & Bertha (Smith) Cope. He was of the Christian faith, attended White Hill Church, and worked as a truck driver for Rich Lumber Company. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his infant son, Phillip Cope, and brothers, Bedford Cope, Bradford Cope, Lonnie Cope, and infant brother, Otis Cope. He is survived by his wife, Marie "Mama" (Polston) Cope, who he wed on Sunday, May 7, 1995, children, Terry Cope, Larry (& Marcie) Cope, Jeff Cope, Shelia Farlee, and Sherry Morgan, all of Burkesville, Kentucky, sisters, Linda Brown, and Glenda Wisdom, both of Edmonton, Kentucky, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and special friends, Molly Davis, Glen Garner, Jeff Hunley, Delmos Carter, James Kerr, Bob Branham, Randy Abston, and Morris Ray "Socks" Riddle, and special boys, Billy Bob and Joe Bob. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 3pmCT in the Memory Chapel of the Norris-New Funeral Home, with Bro. Gary Cash officiating.
