Davis Arthur Chew, 55, member Dunbar Hill Community Church

Mr. Chew had been a chef in the New Jersey Area and in the US Army
Davis Arthur "Dave" Chew, 55, 1500 Caldwell Ridge Road, Columbia, KY (the Caldwell Ridge Community), passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2006, at his home after a long illness.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., at the Dunbar Hill Community Church, formerly known as the Dunbar Hill Baptist Church, with Bro. Darrell Tucker officiating. There will be visitation after 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 11, 2006, at the church. The family has chosen cremation. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.


He was the son of the late Everett Chew of Salem, New Jersey.

He is survived by his mother, Erma Dunn Chew of Dowling Park, FL

He is also survived by his wife, Margaret "Suzy" Swavely Chew, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter: Vicki Chew of Castle Rock, CO

  • One son: Randy Chew, Texas

  • Two step daughters: Christine Goulet, New Jersey; and Margo Gustafson, Philadelphia, PA

  • One step son: Johnny Gustafson, Philadelphia, PA.
Mr. Chew was a former chef in the New Jersey area and for the US Army. He attended Dunbar Hill Community Church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the family for funeral expenses and may be made to Bro. Darrell or Diane Tucker or may be left at the funeral home.
