Michael Bean, 75, Columbia, KY (1948-2024)

Michael Edward Bean of Columbia, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 at the age of 75 years, 9 months, and 4 days. He was born on Monday, September 20, 1948 in Burkesville, Kentucky, the son of James "Peaches" & Marie (Smith) Bean.

He was of the Christian faith, and attended Grace Union Baptist Church.


In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Bean, David Bean, and grandson, Justin Bean.

He is survived by his life partner, Carolyn Bean of Burkesville, children, Angie Pierce (& Daniel), Steve (& Brittany) Bean, and Tonya Brown (& Chris), all of Columbia, Kentucky, step children, Joseph (& Misty) Sewell of Burkesville, Chris (& Patty) Sewell of Glasgow, Kentucky, William (& Patty) Sewell of Burkesville, sister, Eleanor Polston of Columbia, Kentucky, lifelong friend Allen Duvall, 12 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great-Granddaughter.

The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 1pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Shelley officiating. Burial will be in the Burkesville Cemetery in Burkesville, Kentucky.
