Phyllis Tucker, 72, Greensburg, KY (1951-2024) Phyllis Elaine Wright Tucker of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Henry Lee Wright and Vernice Posey Wright, was born on Wednesday, August 15, 1951, in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 72 years, 10 months, and 7 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ladies Chapel United Methodist Church, she was also a former member of the Maple Hill Church as well as a former Sunday School teacher. She was retired from Fruit of Loom where she worked 29 years, worked for Amazon for 10 years, as well as having her own business making soap. She was also a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader for many years. Besides her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Doyce Tucker on January 30, 2022, having united in marriage on May 16, 1970. Survivors include two sons: Wayne Tucker and his partner, Amanda Creason of Greensburg and Kenneth Wade Tucker of Greensburg; a daughter and son-in-law: Serenda "Rendi" and Steve LoBue of Glasgow; a grandson: Tucker LoBue of Glasgow; a step grandson: Evan LoBue of Campbellsville; two brothers and one sister-in-law: JW and Fay Wright of Greensburg and Larry Wright of Franklin; a lifelong best friend: Nancy Beard of Campbellsville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Tucker is also preceded in death by a brother: Bobby Wright. The funeral services for Phyllis Elaine Wright Tucker will be conducted at 1pmCT Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Pierce Community Cemetery. Bro. Garnett Wayne Davis officiating. Visitation is requested after 9 until time of the funeral service. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to Pierce Community Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
