American Legion Post 65 to meet June 8 By Chris Lagermann American Legion Post 65 will meet at the Metcalfe County Extension Office Saturday June 8, 2024 at 9amCT (instead of at the Masonic Lodge). The Extension Office is located at 422 East Street, Edmonton. It is across the street from the Metcalfe County Farmer's Market. At 10 there will be a ceremony to lay a wreath at the monument on the Square. This will be a joint effort with American Legion Post 65 and VFW Post 6281. There will be an opportunity to win a new 3' x 5' American Flag! Please plan to come. The Memorial Day program had to be canceled due to bad weather and both organizations want to join together and present a new wreath to honor our fallen veterans. Please contact Bill Lagermann at (270) 432-2320 if you have questions. This story was posted on 2024-06-03 17:45:51
