Shepherd, Gary Mann, Harold Burton, and Robert Loy all file on final day, Tuesday, January 31, 2006; updated candidate list linked to this story; Democrat Butch Wheatley files for Mobley's seat By Ed Waggener ed@ColumbiaMagazine.com Six candidates filed for Adair County Primaries by the deadline in Adair County Court Clerk Ann Melton's office, bringing the total to 63. And the Democrats will be fielding a candidate for the 51st House of Representatives against Rep. Russ Mobley. Harold "Butch" Wheatley filed with the Secretary of State on the final day. Both are from Campbellsville. Neither will face primary opposition. The Republicans now have a total of 45 seeking 17 offices. The Democrats now have 18 candidates seeking 15 offices.The six who filed on the final day are as follows:
