Apotluck retirement dinner was held for Howard Bailey, tonight January 31, 2006, his official retirement day, with approximately 50 family, friends and co-workers in attendance.

Howard Bailey was a dedicated employee at Columbia Utilities Water Treatment Plant for 17 years.

When asked if he remembers what day he started work he was quick to say "it was Jan. 20, 1989 and on the Night Shift."

Former Supt. Jimmy Harper say Howard was his "what if man" with the two of them having many "heated" discussions.
