Fire at Tabernacle Christian Church contained to nursery area The Adair County Fire Department responded to a call about 6:45 p.m. Sunday evening to the Tabernacle Christian Church on Highway 206 in the Neatsville community. Church members were able to put the fire out before the VFW arrived on the scene. The fire was contained to the upstairs nursery area with minor damage. It had been caused by a rocking chair sitting too close to a wall heater. Fourteen firemen responded and were on the scene for appoximately half an hour helping the church deal with the aftermath.
