Billy R. Janes, 67, Parker-Kalon employee for 27 years

Billy R. Janes, 67, 1251 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, passed away suddenly, Monday, January 9, 2006, at 1:08 p.m., at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room in Columbia, KY.

The funeral service will be Thursday, January 12, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenny Jessee officiating.


He was the son of the late James Riley and Della Montgomery janes of Adair County, KY.

He is survived by his wife, Alberta Brummett Janes, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Children and spouses: Sherry Gagne and Michael, Cancun, Mexico: Jamie Janes and Laurie, Columbia, KY; David Bomar and Beth, Noblesville, IN; Daria White and Steve Robertson, Edmonton, KY; June Anderson and Sam, Greensburg, KY; and Dean Bomar and Denise, Jamestown, KY

  • One sister: Bobbie Jessee, and her husband, Charles, Louisville, KY
  • And nine grandsons, four granddaughters, and one granddaughter-in-law.
He was preceded in death by Daryl Bomar in 1944, and by a brother William Thomas Janes, in 1949.

Mr. Janes was employed by Parker-Kalon in Campbellsville, KY for 27 years.

Interment will be in Columbia Cemetery.

The family requests visitation after 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.
