County party registration, school board districts, magisterial districts listed Party affiliation heavily favors Republicans: 7,846 to 3700 Democrats and 432 "Other" County Court Clerk's office sends most of answers requested by Jim Caywood. But best current map showing district boundaries is best viewed at the clerk's office. And we're still working on magisterial duties and pay The following information was requested from the office of Adair County Court Clerk Ann Melton following the receipt of a letter from Jim Caywood. Mrs. Melton's office has the Magisterial Districts and School Board Districts listed, with the precincts in each. Mrs. Melton also sent along current registration figures, with the numbers of Democrats and Republicans listed for each precinct, and the total number of others in one county wide total. Others includes Independents, Green Party, and Libertarian, she said. The County is now waiting for the printers to deliver an updated County Map. The current map does not have the latest names of roads and places, but is the best map now available. However, anyone who wishes to see the boundaries on the old maps are welcome to do so in the Adair County Court Clerk's office, Mrs. Melton said. As for the duties and pay of the Magistrates, Mr. Caywood, we're still working on that. To Mr. Caywood: Thanks for your request. This is important information for all of us. -Ed Waggener With Party Registrations District #1 White Oak - 67 Democrats; 379 Republicans Eunice-Pellyton - 139 Democrats; 494 Republicans Little Cake - 75 Democrats; 459 Republicans District #2 East Columbia - 376 Democrats; 599 RepublicansOzark - 170 Democrats; 420 Republicans District #3 South Columbia-Harmony - 318 Democrats; 454 Republicans Glensfork-Melson Ridge - 314 Democrats; 504 Republicans District #4 Gradyville-Nell - 108 Democrats; 396 Republicans Sparksville-Breeding - 178 Democrats; 505 Republicans South Columbia #2 - 206 Democrats; 310 Republicans District #5 Milltown - 178 Democrats; 534 Republicans West Columbia - 318 Democrats; 610 Republicans District #6 Cane Valley-Holmes - 418 Democrats; 648 Republicans Knifley-Roley - 251 Democrats; 398 Republicans District #7 North Columbia - 188 Democrats; 341 Republicans Hurt - 405 Democrats; 795 Republicans COUNTY TOTALS: Democrats, 3,700.
