Question perplexes Frankfort, KY lawyer: Was there ever a store at Joppa?

Frankfort attorney William L. Willis, wishes to know if there was ever a store at Joppa, Adair County, KY.

If any Green, Young, Troutman, Combest, or other member of the Joppa diaspora can answer this question, please let us know.

The question is plaguing Mr. Willis, and now it is plaguing me. I'm wondering about what all was in the town in it's heyday. Was there a Post Office, perhaps? And how did it get it's name?

Who are the most famous sons and daughters of Joppa?

If you have more information on the community, please rush it to us. We are especially pleading for help from the likes of Cyrus or the author, Ernestine Bennett.

Cud'n Bill, our cousin Hilda Joyce Willis Jenkins, and I would be most appreciative.

- Ed
