Arnold Thomas (Tommy) Abell, 72, Glasgow, KY (1950-2023) Arnold Thomas "Tommy" Abell of Glasgow departed this life on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at his residence. He was 72 years old. There will be a funeral service for Arnold Thomas "Tommy" Abell at 11amET on Tuesday April 11, 2023, at L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd., Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. Freddy Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Liberty Cemetery. The family requests visitation on Monday April 10, 2023 from 5pmET until 8pmET at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home. Arnold Thomas "Tommy" Abell, the son of the late Arnold B Abell and Edith M. Mills Abell, was born May 23, 1950 in Marion County, KY. He was a retired auto mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cars and spending time with his family. He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his wife: Dawn R. Dorsett Abell, two sons and two daughters: Richard "Richie" Abell of Muldraugh, Kaylin Ringham and husband Luke of Indiana, Danielle McKinney and husband Joshua of Glasgow, and Jeffrey Goad and significant other Nicole of Glasgow. Two sisters: Donna Reynolds and husband Billy, Lynda Beard and husband Moses and his mother-in-law: Cheryl Rock. Five grandchildren: Keyton Goad, McKynlee Goad, Emily Larkin, Brittney Edwards, and Lyla Maelee Ringham, and one great-grandchild: Anna Guffy He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother: Edith Ann Edwards and Buford Abell. Memorials are suggested to be donations to the American Cancer Society or the T. J. Sampson Hospice Service. L.R. Petty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
