Congratulations CCHE Hawks Basketball winners

From Maggie Coleman

The Cumberland Christian Home Educators Basketball Program, coached by Mark Coleman, brought home two national titles this past week at the East Coast Homeschool National Tournament in Gatlinburg.

Over 112 teams were in attendance. The Middle School team, with Gabe and Ty Coleman and Brayson Edge from Adair County, won first place in the top bracket.

Gabe Coleman earned the recognition of tournament MVP. The Varsity team, also coached by Mark Coleman, won first place in the third bracket, the best varsity tournament showing in the team's history.

Varsity won by one point in nail-biting overtime play. Congrats to Coach Coleman and all the players!

Champions in the Varsity CCHE east coast nationals

Congratulations messages are going out to the Varsity CCHE Hawks basketball team for scoring a nail-biting overtime play of one point to win a national title over the weekend. Special congratulations to Columbia's Mark Coleman, coach of the Cumberland Christian Home Educators Basketball Program, and to each and every player from our region.

Adair well represented in CCHE national champions

Three Adair County players and the coach give Adair County reason to be very proud! Congratulations to the CCHE Hawks Middle School team, which includes Adair County players Gabe and Ty Coleman and Brayson Edge, and Coach Mark Coleman, on winning first place in the top bracket the East Coast Homeschool National Tournament over the weekend.

Gabe Coleman earned the recognition of tournament MVP in the Cumberland Christian Home Educators Basketball Program nationals. Over 112 teams were in attendance. The Varsity team, coached by his Dad Mark Coleman, won first place in the third bracket, the best varsity tournament showing in the team's history. Mark has been coaching the CCHE teams for three years — MS, JV, and Varsity. Each year they have had a better finish than the last at this tournament.
