Kenneth M. Adamson, 67, Columbia, KY (1955-2023)

Kenneth Martin Adamson of Columbia passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was 67 years old.

Graveside services will be held at 2pmCT on Monday, February 13, 2023, at the New Concord Cemetery, with Bro. Robert Knight officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 6097.

Visitation will be on Monday from 10amCT until 1:30pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY.


Kenneth was born in Columbia, KY on August 17, 1955, to the late Eva Ellen Knight and Walter Beckham Adamson, Jr.

He was of the Christian faith and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1980. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and U. S. Air Force and enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his son Eric Adamson of Somerset, KY; two brothers Jerry Adamson (Denise) and Ricky Adamson (Tammy) both of Columbia, KY; a sister-in-law Jackie Carter Adamson of Russell Springs, KY; a brother-in-law Bo Carter of Burnside, KY and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Sheila Carter and a brother Walter "Waldo" Adamson.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Sullivan, James Adamson, Bradley Adamson, Jeremy Carter, Gary Moss, and Brian Harvey.
