Bowling: LWC gears up for MSC Championships

The Lindsey Wilson bowling team prepares to head to Bowling Green for the Mid-South Conference Championships to begin Thursday morning and run through Saturday at Southern Lanes, 2710 Scottsville Rd, Bowling Green, KY.

The singles competition gets the event kicked off on Thursday with the men starting at 7:30amCT, followed by the women at 12:15pmCT. The double-elimination team match play tournament takes place on Friday and Saturday. The men start match play on Friday at 7amCT while the women start at 8amCT.


On the men's side, Pikeville won the regular season championship and grabbed the top seed in the bracket. The Bears went 54-1 in the five conference tournaments.

Pikeville is the top seed in the women's bracket after capturing the regular season championship with a 52-3 record.

Tennessee Southern enters the tournament as the defending champions on the men's side after winning its fourth tournament title last season.

On the women's side, Tennessee Southern captured its first MSC Women's bowling tournament in 2021.

The Mid-South Conference Bowling competition begins Thursday morning at 7:30amCT at Southern Lanes.
