Phillip Coffey - High Hills Living High Hills Living - By Phillip Coffey Lived in the high hill's way back in the deep woods. Seldom saw sunshine until at least the middle of June. Took all in that he could collect -sometimes up to a month. Lived under a cone of hushed silence until he joined the Marines. Never knew there were other girls than his sisters - anywhere, Until he met a recruiter when he was seventeen who yelled a lot. Thought foxholes were dug with what some thought was strenuous Activity - just because they needed a soft place to sleep. Fought numerous battles - gave them all a name where he might Not forget. He sure was a hero, but he never understood why he got all those Medals pinned on his chest. Moved to the suburbs when he got out-he did some screaming And hollering about every night.
