Curt Wethington, 75, Russell Springs, KY (1947-2023) Francis Curtis "Curt" Wethington of Russell Springs passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Liberty Care Center in Liberty. He was 75 years old. Funeral services are scheduled for 1pmCT on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Jim Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Springs City Cemetery, with military Honors conducted by the Casey County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 3pmCT until 6pmCT on Saturday January 28, 2023, at Bernard Funeral Home. Curt was born July 9, 1947, in Lebanon, son of the late Joseph Cecil and Rose Bernice Wethington. He was proud to be a United States Army veteran who turned 18 years old while serving his country in Vietnam. Curt worked over 25 years for and retired from Caldwell Tanks. His family came first. He was best known as "Pa" and loved his grandchildren very much. He is survived by his son, Daryl (and Beverly) Watts, of Russell Springs; his brothers, David "Frog" (and Marlene) Wethington, Dale Wethington and Tom (and Brenda) Wethington; his sisters, Matilda Sapp, Lois (and Jim) MacLaren and Faye (and Jody) Clemens; his granddaughters, Hannah (and Jesse) York and Dana Watts; and a great-granddaughter who is "on the way", Molly Mae York. Along with his parents, Curt is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Mae Wethington, who passed away January 2, 2023; his brother, Adrian "Tater" Wethington; a brother who died in infancy; and his sisters, Nina Underwood, Mary Claire Wethington and Paulita Cooper. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Casey County Honor Guard. Bernard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.bernardfuneralhome.com.
