There is an exceptionally competitive applicant pool vying for just 12 slots, 2 per region.

This year's academy will involve a mix of both face-to-face and virtual sessions, including:

An introductory and live virtual session

Six in-person training sessions covering a range of topics Budgeting and finance

Conflict resolution

Compliance and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act [HIPAA] regulations

Resilience

Just culture

Employee engagement

Virtual sessions providing one-on-one mentoring from a veteran EMS administrator

Short assignments and group project

We are proud of Director Taylor for getting accepted to this program and we know it will bring back knowledge and networking to deal with several key issues facing all EMS agencies in Kentucky. Director Taylor's mentor for this program is Phil Dietz with Independence Fire District Ambulance Service.
