City gives update on Veterans banners From Tiffany Collins The response to the second round of Veterans banners to be located in downtown Columbia has been tremendous. "We are so pleased with the response of residents again to the banners," said Mayor Pamela Hoots. As of this time, City officials are reviewing the number of applications for banners and will not be taking any new names for the time being. The only exception will be for those who have already indicated their interest in applying and the city is awaiting information. The city appreciates the response and will update later.
