Delma Goodin Wise, 93, Campbellsville, KY (1929-2023)

Delma Goodin Wise of Campbellsville died at 8:05 A.M., Wednesday, January 4, 2023. She was 93 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Rev. Haywood Riner. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is requested from 11amET until 1pmET on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


Delma Goodin Wise, daughter of the late Glenn V. Goodin and Ollie Alice Roberts Goodin, was born January 17, 1929 in Taylor County, Kentucky.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

Delma was a dedicated wife who enjoyed taking care of others before herself, especially her husband, Willard. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed traveling with Willard on many mission trips and spreading the gospel to others.

She united in marriage to Willard Wise October 16, 1945 and he preceded her in death September 11, 2022.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Willard Wise and wife, Angie, Winfrey Wise and wife, Kathie and Leoda Watson and husband, Roger of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren: Leanne Wise-Sutton, Melody Burress, David Wise, Joshua Watson, Benjamin Watson, Troy Watson and Bryan Watson, all of Campbellsville; two step-grandchildren: Daron Vaughn of Campbellsville and Phillip Harmon of Villa Hills; eight great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Linda Williams and husband, Richard and Shirley Newton and husband, Dale of Campbellsville and Sherry Cowan and husband, Phillip of Columbia; a sister-in-law, Sue Clarke-Goodin of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Delma was also preceded in death by two grandchildren: Angela Gail Wise and Bonnie Jean Wise; a step-grandson, Paul Harmon and two brothers: Gary Goodin and Larry Goodin.

Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to Gideon Bibles and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
