Shirley Mae Byrd Luster, 83, Casey Co., KY native (1939-2022) Shirley Mae Byrd Luster, of Elmwood, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, at her home. She was 83 years old. The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Danny Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11amET to 1pmET on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Born on March 3, 1939, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Freddie and Zellie Lay Byrd. Shirley retired from Elmwood School. She loved her family, especially her daughter. She is survived by a sister, Kathy (J.C.) Hines of Liberty; two brothers, Lilburn (Reva) Byrd of Science Hill and Harold (June) Byrd of Cold Springs; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sidney A. Luster; a daughter, Beverly Luster; and four brothers, Truman Byrd, Trusville Byrd, Murrell Byrd, and Leeman Byrd. Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the National Reyes Syndrome Foundation to PO Box 829, Bryan, OH 43506.
