Barbara Gunter, 75, Ninevah, IN (1947-2022)

Barbara Gunter of Indiana, formerly of Mannsville, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 in Franklin, Indiana. She was 75 years old.

A graveside service will be held at 2pmET on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Campbellsville, officiated by Dr. Bob Langlois.

Visitation is requested from NoonET until 1:30pmET on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


Barbara Gunter, daughter of the late Charles Mounce and Dorothy L. Russell Mounce, was born September 3, 1947 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

She professed faith in Christ and attended Liberty Baptist Church.

Barbara was employed as a school bus driver and later as a teacher's aid in Franklin, Indiana.

She united in marriage to Thomas Alton Gunter December 19, 1964.

Besides her husband, Thomas Alton Gunter of Nineveh, Indiana, Barbara is survived by one son and one daughter: Rodney Alton Gunter and wife, Rita of Ninevah, Indiana and Amy Lee Steinke and husband, Kenny of Terra Haute, Indiana; four grandchildren; one brother and three sisters: Chuck Mounce and wife, Tiffany and Robbie Eldridge and husband, Lee of Somerset and Tonya Twyman and Tammy Bowling and husband, Keith of Middleburg; one brother-in-law, Russell Creech; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Trisha Gaye Caldwell and a sister, Cheryl Creech.
