Mitzi Bault, 65, Adair County, KY (1957-2022) Mitzi Jean McKinley Bault will be remembered as a positive force for her family, friends, children, animals, and a as cancer fighter who defied the odds for 25 years after her first diagnosis. In 2018 she wrote, "No one is promised tomorrow so make every day count. Life is not about things, it's about the love of life and the people in it... Lots of Love from McKinley Lane, 'nite." Mitzi Bault, 65, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Monday, November 21, 2022 at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She requested cremation and directed that no service nor visitation be held. She asked that instead of flowers, donations be made to Green River Animal Shelter. Mitzi was born February 2, 1957, in Adair County. She formerly owned Rainbows and Lollipops Daycare and Mitzi's on the Square. She was a member of Charity Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her father, L.G. "Peanut" McKinley, her son, Stewart Grant, and her sister, Marcia Cook. Survivors include: Her husband - Ricky Bault of Columbia Her mother - Fay Waggener McKinley of Columbia Her daughter - Amy Whitaker (Jason) of Somerset Two brothers - Mitchell McKinley (Donna) of Bowling Green, and Mark McKinley of Glasgow Four grandchildren - Jacob Cowan (Hailey Hare) and Blake Cowan (Makaylee) all of Columbia, Zachary Lyon of Lebanon, and Kaylee Whitaker of Somerset Three great-grandchildren - Branston Cowan, Haelynn Cowan, and Kinley Whitaker Several aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends. Memorial gifts may be mailed to Green River Animal Shelter, 455 Appleby Drive, Columbia, KY 42728, or they may be left at the funeral home. Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
