Adair Sheriff's department investigates two auto crashes resulting in injuries
A single vehicle crash occurred this afternoon about 1:45 p.m. three miles east of Columbia on Highway 80 which resulted in three people being taken to Westlake Hospital. The accident happened when Emily Gadberry, 24, of Old Clear Springs Road, was traveling west and one of her tires blew. Emily lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway and overturned several times before coming to rest in a yard. She was treated for multiple injuries at Westlake Hospital and was later flown to UofL hospital. Passengers in the vehicle, ten-year-old Cody Gadberry and four-year-old Brooklyn Farrell were tgreated for minor injuries at Westlake Hospital. The accident was investigated by Adair County Sheriff Steve Cheatham. Both EMS and Adair County Rescue Squad responded. Christopher Roberts injured after apparently falling asleep An injury accident occurred two miles south of Columbia on KY 61 about 8 a.m. this morning when Christopher Roberts, 18, of 415 Antioch Church Road apparently fell asleep at the wheel. His 1992 Chevy pickup left the road and struck a telephone pole which broke off and fell, crushing the cab of his truck. Roberts was transported to Westlake Regional Hospital by Adair County EMS where he was treated for minor injuries and released. This story was posted on 2005-10-13 20:35:36
