Columbia Baptist holds annual OCC Packing Party Click headline for lots of photos of volunteers hard at work The Columbia Baptist Church held their annual packing party to prepare shoebox gifts for Operation Christmas Child on Sunday evening, November 6, 2022, in their fellowship hall. According to Green River Team Area Coordinator Mark Fudge, the need for shoe box gifts is greater now than ever before. National collection week for Operation Christmas Child is November 14-21, 2022. Boxes can be dropped off at the Wheet Fellowship Hall at the Columbia First Church of the Nazarene, 1200 Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY, on the following schedule:
It's a very simple process, according to Fudge. "Take an Empty shoe box from your closet or order some from Samaritanpurse.org/occ. Then fill the box with fun toys, school supplies, sunglasses, and hygiene items like soap, wash cloths and tooth brushes. You can include your photo and a note to the child to really make the gift special, then bring your shoebox gift to the Wheet Fellowship Hall along with a $10 donation for shipping during national collection week November 14-21. It's so vey important to pray for the child that will receive your box." This story was posted on 2022-11-07 11:21:52
