Ray Lawhorn, 80, Columbia, KY (1942-2022) Ray Lawhorn of Columbia passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital with his family by his side. He was 80 years old. Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Stanley Watson, Bro. Clay Scott and Bro. Stevie Bunch officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue Tuesday until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. He was born in Columbia, Ky on February 6, 1942, to the late Chester and Elsie Burton Lawhorn. Mr. Lawhorn was of the Christian faith and enjoyed gardening, cutting wood and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Brenda Blakey Lawhorn of Columbia, KY; three sons Dan Lawhorn (Sheila) of Breeding, KY, Roger Lawhorn (Bonnie) and Kenny Lawhorn both of Columbia, KY; three grandchildren Blake Lawhorn, Billie Jo Lawhorn and Samantha Lawhorn; two siblings Raymond Lawhorn (Vernice) of Columbia, KY and Bertha Marr of Campbellsville, KY; several nieces and nephews and his cat Bella. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings Ores Lawhorn, Eula Lawhorn Loy, Evelyn Bunch, Louise Furkins, Martha Ellen Lawhorn and Randall Lawhorn. Pallbearers will be Mr. Lawhorn's family. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
