ACHS Academic Team Earn Awards in Pre-Season Event

ACHS Academic Team members Bailey Watts, Trey Stephens, and Joseph Kotter participated in a KAAC-sanctioned pre-season Content Assessment event the week of October 17-21, 2022. Over 25 schools with multiple competitors per school from across the state took place in the event.

Bailey Watts won 1st Place overall in the Arts and Humanities test and took 2nd overall in Language Arts. Trey Stephens earned 14th overall in the Social Studies event.

The event was a pre-Governor's Cup warmup for students who are preparing for the Spring semester's District, Region, and State events. Governor's Cup begins on January 21 for the high school team and January 14 for middle school. Freshmen and Sophomore team members are slated to participate in the Fall JV Challenge event--a contest designed to gain experience for 9th and 10th grade members of Academic Teams across the state-- on November 5, 2022.
