Beatrice (Beady) Williams McKinney, 82, Green Co., KY (1939-2022)

Beatrice "Beady" Williams McKinney of Green County passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at her home with her family by her side. She was 82 years old.

The funeral services will be conducted at 10amCT on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Wednesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and will continue after 7amCT on Thursday until time of the funeral service.


Beatrice "Beady" Williams McKinney, daughter of the late Harold O. Williams and Vernia Mae Skaggs Williams, was born on Wednesday, November 8, 1939 in Taylor County.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was a loving Christian woman who, throughout her lifetime, was devoted to her family and spent all her days as a homemaker caring for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was known for compassionate advice and lending an ear, her famous Friday night cheeseburgers, her large vegetable and flower gardens and her beautiful roses. She will be remembered by her grace, beauty and love for her family.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Raymond Eugene McKinney of Green County having united in marriage on August 18, 1956.

Other survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Cathy and Danny Patterson, and Cindy and Johnny Houk all of Green County; a son and daughter-in-law: Kelly and Cindy McKinney of Green County; 11 grandchildren: Farrah and Chris Pruitt, Tarrah and Ben Johnson, Tina and David Judd, Andrea and Derek Underwood, Danielle and Nick Wright, John and Jennifer Houk, Krissy and Tyler Bruner, Cody and Emily McKinney, Jody and Emily Jo McKinney, Courtney and Ben Hamilton, and Ryen Cox; 25 great-grandchildren: Sophie, Max, Hunter, Londyn, Jack, Riley, Micah, Rhys, Ryker, Savanna, Makayla, Ava, Skyler, Taylor, Xander, Braylee, Braxton, Braden, Remmi, Knox, Charlie, McKenzie, Carter, Carly, Bryleigh, Levi, Lilyana, Lia, and Guinevere; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by a great-grandson: Aiden Wright; and a step-grandson: Scott Cox.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
