Joseph Wayne (Joey) Campbell, 48, Columbia, KY native (1974-2022)

Joseph Wayne "Joey" Campbell, 48, of Tompkinsville, KY and formerly of Jamestown, KY died Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Monroe Medical Center in Tompkinsville.

Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Craig Trumbo officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbell Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 3pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue on Sunday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.


He was born in Columbia, KY on May 18, 1974 to Jerry and Freda Grant Campbell of Jamestown, KY who survives.

Joey had a passion for farming and especially enjoyed rolling hay and just being out on the tractor. When he wasn't farming he loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Sarah Beth Carter Campbell of Tompkinsville, KY; son Jacob Campbell (Jailyn) of Columbia, KY; two grandsons Jettson and Corbin Campbell; step-children Aden, Crayli and Carter; one brother Kyle Campbell (Cheyenne Garner) of Jamestown, KY and several friends and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Mark Antle, Matt Brummett, Stephen Antle, Rodney Carter, Darrell Bradshaw and Josh Campbell.
