Lana Kay Hale, 75, Russell County, KY (1946-2022) Lana Kay Hale, age 75, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Friday, July 15, 2022 at Russell County Hospital. She was born on Wednesday, November 20, 1946, in Russell Springs, KY, the daughter of Otha Whittle and Nancy Mae Meadows Whittle. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, David Hale of Russell Springs, KY, whom she married on June 10, 1967. Son, John David Hale, spouse Loretta, of Russell Springs KY. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Brittany Kaylene Hale Fox (Kody) and Bradley David Carl Hale, three great-grandchildren, Wyatt Fox, Wren Fox and Wilder Fox. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews as well as the many friends that are the same as family. Kay was a faithful attender of Royville Friendship Church and worked at Hopper Drug Store for many years as well as secretary at Ashland Oil Bulk Plant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Alene McKinley, Lavern Elswick, Wilma Mercer, Jean Bringer, Jerry Holt and one brother Johnny Whittle. Kay struggled with health problems later in life, however she never complained. The family would like to thank all friends and family for their prayers and support, especially the Russell County Hospital. Expressions of sympathy are suggested take the form of a contribution to Royville Friendship Church Building Fund and may be left at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 2pmCT on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be at 11:30am on Monday. Officiating Clergy: Bro. Kevin Carter Stewart and Bro. Charles Edwards.
