Columbian member of Indiana State Champion barbecue team Joe Lynn Barbee is teammate on J-Mack Cookers, Too, Bardwell, KY; team will cook next at Paducah's Barbecue on the River. Two links below give more details Joe Lynn Barbee, Columbia, KY, was a teammate on the J-Mack Cookers, Too, barbecue team, Bardwell, KY, which won the Grand Champion Trophy at the Ribberfest held in Madison, IN, August 19-20. By virtue of this victory, the team was also declared the Indiana State Champions. The Madison event is the only Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned competition held in Indiana, and by gubernatorial proclamation, its winner is also the Indiana State Champion.To read the full story and see a photo of team, including Mr. Barbee, in Roundabout Madison: Click here. Team will cook at Barbecue on the River, Paducah, September 22-24 The team, which also includes Aaron and Christy Storey of Bardwell, KY, will be competing next at Paducah at the Barbecue on the River Festival. Over 50 barbecue teams will be on hand at the September 22, 23, and 24 event. This is a benefit festival and the barbecue will be sold to the public with the proceeds going to benefit local Paducah area charities. Click here for more information on Barbecue on the River.
