Calvin Roe Grant of Louisville passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022. He was 82 years old

His Funeral Service will be at 6pmET on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at NoonCT, with burial at Grant Cemetery in Columbia, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 3pmET to 8pmET on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY.


Calvin Roe Grant, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022. Calvin was a loving man who held is family and friends very close to his heart. He was a man of many talents, he created beautiful paintings, taught himself to play guitar, and had a green thumb. Calvin enjoyed spending his time outdoors gardening and hunting. He looked forward to weekends at his home where family and friends would gather for fun and cookouts were memories were built for many beautiful years. Calvin was a wonderful man who will be missed, the memories made will forever be cherished, and he will always be in our hearts.

He was born on March 23, 1940 in Columbia, Kentucky to Elford and Ruby (Hughes) Grant. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Sisters, Fay Warf, Fannie Sneed, and Freida Bruce.

Calvin is survived by his loving Wife of 63 years, Kay Grant, Daughter, Linda Harris, Sons, Kenny Grant, and Denny (Becky) Grant; Grandchildren, Carrie, Crystal, Kim, Amanda, Jennifer, and Jenny; Great Grandchildren, Alissa, Kerstin, Kaylee, Zack, Logan, Natalie, Bailey, Braylee, and Emily. Calvin also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 12:00 pm Central Time burial at Grant Cemetery in Columbia, Kentucky.
