Bro. Ralph W. Hadley, 84, Columbia, KY (1938-2022)

Bro. Ralph W. Hadley of Columbia died Sunday, May 22, 2022 at T. J. Health Columbia. He was 84 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Darrell Karnes officiating. Burial will follow in the McClister Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 2pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue on Thursday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.


Bro. Ralph W. Hadley was born in Fairplay, KY on January 12, 1938 to the late William and Nona Lawhorn Hadley.

Bro. Hadley was the former Pastor at Tabor Community Church for 28 years and former Chaplain for the Adair County Rescue Squad. He also formerly worked in the produce department at Houchens Grocery. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Bobbie Bunch Hadley of Columbia, KY; seven sons Mitchell Hadley of Russell Springs, Jeffrey Hadley (Kim) of Columbia, KY, Jerry Hadley (Vickie) of Jamestown, KY, Frankie Hadley (Rejeena) of Columbia, KY, Billy Hadley (Patricia) of Columbia, KY, Anthony Hadley (Lori Kelsay) of Columbia, KY and Chris Hadley of Columbia, KY; eight grandchildren Kyle Hadley, Ashley Burns, Kristy Claywell, Joshua Hadley, Mariah Peters (Joe), Kenisha Kelsay, McKenzie Myers and Karlee Kelsay; nine great grandchildren; five siblings Bro. Elbert Hadley (Edith), Dallas Hadley (Julie), Carnell Hadley (Debbie) and Wanda Helm (Bud) all of Fairplay, KY and Joyce Fair of Columbia, KY; special friends Darrell and Wanda Karnes, Cheyenne Morgan and Chandler Bennett and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Pamela June Hadley, a grandson-in-law Brandon Burns and a brother-in-law Ed Corbin.

Pallbearers will be Bro. Mike Helm, Bro. Craig Huddleston, Bro. Pat Smith, Bro. Rodney Karnes, Bro. Paul Bledsoe and Bro. Larry Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bro. Kerry Yates, Bro. Ralph Foster, Bro. Lonnie Karnes, Chandler Bennett, Billy Morrison, Bradley Karnes, Mike Hagan and Dennis Selby.
