Jackie Neal Boston, 84, Green County, KY (1937-2022)

Jackie Neal Boston of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Chester Aubrey Boston and Maggie Clarice London Boston, was born on Monday, July 5, 1937 in Center, Metcalfe County, Kentucky and departed this life on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. He was 84 years, 9 months, and 14 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Hovious Mission Church and attended New Hope Baptist Church. He was a retired driver for Taylor-Green Ready Mix, worked for the former Cowherd Service Station for 27 plus years, and volunteered at the Green County Food Bank.



Survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Irene Estes Boston, of Greensburg having united in marriage on September 12, 1964.

Other survivors include five sons and two daughters-in-law: William Underwood of Greensburg, James Allen Underwood of Campbellsville, Terry and Syrena Kay Boston of Knifley, Chester Boston of Greensburg, and Brian and Misty Boston of Danville; four daughters and two sons-in-law: Elizabeth Ann Thomas of Campbellsville, Sandi and Charles Greer of Columbia, Betsy Harris and fiance, Jeff Greer of Knifley, Maggie and Michael Chumbley of Russell Springs; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and two on the way; three great-great Grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Boston was also preceded in death by a daughter: Birdie Beatrice Boston; a grandson: Jonathon Boston; a brother and two sisters: James "Lum" Boston, Chestine King, and Maggie Clarice Boston.

The funeral services will be conducted at 2pmCT Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bowles Cemetery in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. Bro. Casey Durrett and Bro. Terry Boston officiating.

Visitation is requested after 10amCT until time of the funeral service.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial expenses, which can be made at the funeral home.

PALLBEARERS: Stephen Thomas, Jordan Boston, B.J. Harris Jackson Harris, Patrick Hardin, Caleb Boston, Terry Thomas, Wesley Hardin, Tyler Hardin, Scotty Underwood, and Zack Boston.
