New book by Pauline Kurtz has deep local ties

Author Pauline Kurtz has announced the publication of Call Me Huck III: The Trials of Fannie Finn Noe, which was released on Amazon as of March 19, 2022. The new book tells about Louisa Rogers Stotts when she was growing up on Mell Ridge along with her siblings, Nellie, Fannie, Irene, Henry, Sam, William, and Sally May Rogers.

Previous books in the series documented Kurtz' family's journey from Horse Cave to Indianapolis just before the Great Depression. Kurtz lives in North Salem, Indiana, but has ties to several local families. She is the great-niece of Louisa Rogers Stotts and a granddaughter of Fannie Finn Noe.

The new book can be ordered online at amazon.com, and Kurtz says she is trying to get in touch with local relatives to get them a free copy. "I'm sure the family would enjoy reading about Fannie and her siblings when they were children living in Adair and Green Counties in Kentucky." She can be reached at 765-676-5080.
