Five Lincoln County Volunteer Firemen, one other, arrested on arson charges

Two-month investigation is contininuing with more arrests expected
Kentucky State Police Arson Investigator, Alex Wesley concluded a two-month investigation today by arresting five Lincoln County Volunteer Firemen and one other person.

The men were arrested after a Lincoln County Grand Jury issued several indictments relating to a string of Arson related fires at unoccupied homes throughout Lincoln County.


Detective Wesley was assisted throughout his investigation by Lincoln County Fire Chief, Danny Glass and Troopers from the Richmond Post Area. All the firemen were assigned to Lincoln County Fire Protection District Station #8 at the time of their arrests.

Charged in the investigation was:
  • Kyle S. Cupp, age 19, of Stanford was charged with Complicity to Commit Arson 2nd Degree, and Possession of a Destructive/Booby Trap Device.

  • Troy Craig Gingras, age 19, of Stanford was charged with Complicity to Commit Arson 2nd Degree, 16 counts of Complicity to Commit Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, and Possession of a Destructive/Booby Trap Device.

  • Michael R. Bailey, age 18, of Stanford was charged with Complicity to Commit Arson 2nd Degree, and 16 counts of Complicity to Commit Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.

  • Aaron W. Denney, age 18, of Stanford was charged with Arson 2nd Degree and 16 counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.

  • Christopher D. Cross, age 19, of Stanford was charged with Arson 2nd Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, and Possession of a Destructive/Booby Trap Device.

  • Linden Pullem, age 19, of Stanford was charged with Arson 2nd Degree, 16 counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, and Possession of a Destructive/Booby Trap Device.
All were lodged in the Lincoln County Jail under $100,000.00 cash bonds.

More charges and arrests are expected as the investigation continues into other Arson related fires in the area.
