Ronnie Dale Coffey, 68, Russell Springs, KY (1953-2022)

Ronnie Dale Coffey of Russell Springs passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at his residence surrounded by family. He was 68 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 11amCT on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 250 French Valley Ct. Russell Springs, KY, with Pastor Doug Couch officiating. Interment will follow at Jamestown Cemetery, Jamestown, KY.

Friends may visit on Thursday from 5pmCT to 8pmCT at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main St., Jamestown, KY, and on Friday from 9amCT to 11amCT at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.


Ronnie was born in Glasgow, KY, on November 28, 1953, a son of the late Marion (Blakey) and Alvis Wesley Coffey

Ronnie was a mechanic most of his life and met many friends along the way. After his day job, you would likely find him on his family farm until after dark. If he wasn't working, he was with his family or watching TV with his puppy. Ronnie was a man of few words but he was always seen with a smile, and ready to help anyone. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, a husband, a dad, uncle, a Papa to many and a friend to most.

Ronnie is survived by:
  • wife, Valerie (Meece) Coffey, of Russell Springs,

  • three sons, Wesley (Kristi) Coffey, of Russell Springs, Ashley (Shannon) Coffey, of Russell Springs, Chris (Ladonna) Flanagan, of Russell Springs.

  • a daughter, Jamie (Mike) Mann, of Greensburg.

  • two sisters, Connie (Nate) Williams, of Ocala, FL; Diane (Roger) Shepard, of Russell Springs,

  • sister in law Peggy Coffey, of Jamestown,

  • mother in law Ardeth Meece, of Russell Springs,

  • 11 grandchildren
  • 8 great grandchildren
  • a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, brother Donnie Coffey and a nephew Chris Coffey.

Pallbearers: Dustin Ballenger, Shane Stapp, Austin Hale, Andy Passmore, Kevin Odell and Timmy Antle

The family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in memory of Ronnie D. Coffey and can be made at the funeral home or church.
