Get Moving Kentucky ends with banquet to honor those who met their goals

The second round of "Get Moving Kentucky, a program designed to increase physical activity levels of citizens, wrapped up recently with a banquet for the winners of this session.

The event was held at the Adair County Extension Office and was attended by Committee members: Kelli Bonifer, Arlinda Kessler, Sandy Rogers, Stacey Bailey, Paula Garrison and Ellen Zornes. Winners enjoying the dinner included...


the individual winners Gayla Baker and Yvonne Marshall, each with a score of 244. The winning team, with a high score of 1060, included: Cathy Henry, Cathy Grant, Michael Hamlett and Josh Overstreet.

The Health Activity Tracker allowed participants to track health activities and progress in meeting goals members set for themselves. It's a program encouraged by the governor and offered through the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service Health Education through Extension Leadership (HEEL) program.
