Evelyn F. McFall, 98, Jamestown, KY (1923-2022)

Evelyn F. McFall of Jamestown passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, while in the company of family members, at Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset. She was 98 years old.

Funeral services will be held at Mt. Hope Separate Baptist Church, Jamestown, KY at 11amCT on Saturday, March 19, 2022, with Bro. Randy Brown and Bro. Bradley Jeffries officiating. Burial will follow at Rexroat Cemetery, Jamestown, KY.

Visitation will be Friday March 18, 2022, from 5pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue after 8amCT on Saturday at Mt. Hope Separate Baptist Church, Jamestown, KY.


Evelyn was born in Jamestown, KY on November 21,1923 to Sallie (Richards) and Lester Blankenship. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose home was the gathering place for the entire family.

She was a member of Mt. Hope Separate Baptist Church where she played the piano for over fifty years.

Evelyn is survived by nine children: Patricia Coomer of Russell Springs, KY; Sue Popplewell (Doyle) of Jamestown, KY; Sharon Harris of Columbia, KY; Richard McFall (Vicky) of Tompkinsville, KY; Ronnie McFall (Kim) of Jamestown, KY; Steve McFall (Teresa) of Jamestown, KY; Randy McFall (Tammy) of Jamestown, KY; Cara Murphy (Lee) of Liberty, KY; John McFall (Melissa) of Russell Spring, KY. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; one nephew Roger Blankenship and a host of McFall nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ed McFall; a brother Ed Blankenship and a son-in-law Harold Coomer.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of a donation to Rexroat Cemetery (these can be left at Mt. Hope Separate Baptist Church or mailed to Care of Connie Miller, P.O. Box 187, Jamestown, KY) or Gideons International.
