Increasing clouds today, high 61F, snow tonight

It's currently 32F at the Adair County Mesonet station. We'll see increasing clouds today, with a high near 61F. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.

Tonight will bring a 100 percent chance of rain and snow showers, becoming all snow after 11pmCT. The snow could be heavy at times, and snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches is possible. The overnight low will be around 20R. North wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Saturday will bring clearing skies, with a chance of flurries before NoonCT, and a high near 28F. Northwest wind 10 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Wind chill values could be as low as 6F.

Saturday night will be clear, with an overnight low around 13F and west wind around 6 mph becoming calm.

Sunday will be sunny, with a high near 48F. Southwest wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Sunday night will be mostly clear, with an overnight low around 32F.

Daffodil watch 2022: Will they survive tonight's snow?

Daffodils - the biggest crop I've seen this year, located on Hwy 206 - may be challenged to live through the night as emergency services predict a freeze with a significant amount of snow starting after suppertime. If the weather reports are right, they could be up to their little Daffodil eyeballs when they wake Saturday morning.
